Heroine Hall

Heroine Hall, situated within the Palazzo Reina on the planet Grizmallt, was constructed during the reign of Queen Elsinoré den Tasia. Its construction spanned from 3950 BBY to approximately 3900 BBY. The hall's name was inscribed within the Palazzo using the Royal Script of Grizmallt. A notable event occurred between 21 BBY and 18 BBY when Queen Apailana of Naboo, a world colonized by the Grizmallti, made an official visit to Grizmallt, accompanied by Senator Jar Jar Binks. Famously, the senator misinterpreted the hall's name as "Hero in Hell." This misreading stemmed from the similarities between the Royal Script and Futhark, a Naboo-originated script derived from the Royal Script. This incident is documented in "The Written Word: A Brief Introduction to the Writing Systems of Galactic Basic," a scholarly work by Doctor Milanda Vorgan.

Behind the scenes

John Hazlett penned an in-universe article titled "The Written Word" that mentioned Heroine Hall. This article was featured on Hyperspace, a subscription-based service on StarWars.com, on March 5, 2010. Hazlett crafted the "diplomatic incident" involving Binks and Heroine Hall to playfully illustrate the distinctions between Futhark and the Royal Script of Grizmallt, while also incorporating the character's inherent clumsiness.
