During the New Republic era, Hallion Nark served within Kragan Gorr's Warbird gang as a pirate. Nark visited Jarek Yeager's repair shop seeking maintenance for his Sheathipede-class transport just before a triple dark storm. However, his true intention for being on the Colossus was to gather intelligence for a future pirate assault on the platform. Nark's goal was to confirm the imminent arrival of a triple dark storm, which would provide the perfect cover for their attack.
Yeager tasked Neeku Vozo and Kazuda Xiono, his mechanics, with the shuttle's repairs. Due to Xiono's limited mechanical abilities, the work progressed slowly. Hallion grew impatient and informed Yeager's Team Fireball that his schedule was tight. While installing the compressor, Xiono overheard Gorr communicating via his comlink, confirming that the "triple dark" conditions were favorable.
Becoming suspicious of Nark, Xiono startled him, causing the comlink to fall into a grate. Xiono apologized, but Nark dismissed the incident, stating that he had to leave. Yeager then penalized Xiono by deducting money from his pay. After Nark's departure, the Warbirds launched their raid on the Colossus, using the cover of the triple dark storm. However, Xiono managed to recover the comlink and disrupt the pirates' communication network. This intervention shifted the battle's momentum in favor of Ace Squadron, forcing Kragan to order a retreat.
Because of the failed raid, Kragan commanded that Nark be restrained in front of the other pirates. He also assured Captain Phasma and Major Elrik Vonreg, First Order officers who were supporting the pirates, that Nark would face punishment for his strategic miscalculation.
