The GSS-5C Dustmaker represented a starfighter design manufactured by the SoroSuub Corporation specifically for the use of the newly formed reconstituted Sith Empire. As a follow-up to the G-2A gunship, which gained notoriety for its capacity to devastate entire cities located on the planet of Sullust, the Dustmaker was engineered with the intention of exceeding the destructive capabilities of the earlier model. Although its defensive systems were somewhat weaker than the typical gunships and it could only mount one rail gun, these shortcomings were compensated for by its capacity to deploy proton torpedoes and a more powerful laser cannon.
