The original inhabitants of the planet Gruvia, situated within the Expansion Region, were the Gruvians, a sentient species.
These tall, green, and mound-shaped creatures, known as Gruvians, moved about by shuffling, lacking any visible legs or feet. Their physical characteristics included eight eye stalks, two mouths, and four slender arms terminating in three-fingered hands.
During the Imperial period, Benja and Olall Da'aapp, two Gruvian tourists, were frequently observed at the Kuat Passenger Port. The Gruvians were also famous for their alcoholic drink, Gruvian Tovash.
In the episode "In the Beginning," an alien resembling a Gruvian makes an appearance. However, this being possesses ten eyes, a single visible mouth, and only two arms. It is possible that this represents a variation within the Gruvian species, or perhaps it is an entirely separate species altogether.
