Gruu Dunrik was a male Human physician. He once held the rank of Jedi Initiate, studying at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant during the final years of the Galactic Republic. Despite successfully completing his studies at the Temple academy, Dunrik was never chosen by a Jedi Master to become a Padawan, leading to his departure from the Jedi Order.
Decades later, Dunrik served as a medical officer for the Alliance to Restore the Republic, stationed on Aargonar 3.
Gruu Dunrik, a Force-sensitive Human, underwent training in the Force at the Jedi Temple located on Coruscant. As an Initiate within the Temple's academy, Dunrik successfully graduate with the goal of becoming a Guardian. However, no Jedi Master selected him as a Padawan following his graduation. Due to the Order's strict regulations, Dunrik was unable to advance without a master and was subsequently required to leave the Temple.
The details of Dunrik's life after leaving the Order remain unknown. He might have departed completely or been reassigned to the Jedi Service Corps, most likely the Medical Corps, as he later worked as a medic after the rise of the Galactic Empire and the Jedi Order's dissolution. Because he was not a member of the Order during the Clone Wars, Dunrik avoided the Great Jedi Purge. When the Empire's oppression sparked a rebellion, Dunrik joined the Alliance to Restore the Republic as a medical officer, stationed at the Alliance's bases on Aargonar 3. During his time with the Alliance, Doctor Dunrik yearned for the Order's restoration and attempted to find any Force-sensitives he could. Using his limited knowledge of the Force, Dunrik tried to unlock his patients' hidden potential, hoping that one day they might threaten the Galactic Emperor himself.
