Grande Game

Grande Game was a gambling establishment, specifically a casino, located within the city of Depatar on the gas giant world of Genarius.

The Rodian businessman, Kelko, was the manager of the casino. Due to his dissatisfaction with the casino's earnings, Kelko was often present in the main hall, ensuring patrons were actively gambling instead of engaging in conversation or other unproductive behaviors. To prevent individuals from winning excessive amounts of money in a single day, he also implemented various strategies, including cheating, despite possessing the necessary permits to do so.

Although the Grande Game attracted clientele from the working class, Kelko's preference was to cater to wealthier individuals. Consequently, he decorated the establishment with furnishings and signage that he believed would appeal to them. However, he failed to achieve the high-roller patronage he desired.

The casino employed a protocol droid, identified as S2-36B, to provide translation services for its diverse clientele. The accuracy of her translations was directly proportional to the size of the tips she received.

A Near-Human female with silver hair, known as Aria, attempted to secure employment at the Game by performing tasks such as exchanging chips and serving beverages, hoping to impress Kelko. However, Kelko was content with her unpaid labor and saw no incentive to formally hire her.

In the year 31 BBY, the Jedi Knight Alec visited the Grande Game while disguised as a Great White Wookiee Jedi. While playing chance cube in the casino, he accumulated such substantial winnings that Kelko removed the table from service for maintenance and then went to deposit Alec's winnings in Box 113. Alec was accompanied by his pilot, Danil, and his permitor, Delan. Alec proceeded to inquire about the local economy from other patrons; Kelko, despite his disapproval, was unable to intervene due to Alec's possession of the required permits for questioning individuals.

Among the customers present at that time were Brute, a Gungan who worked as a shoe salesman; Farfer, an Ithorian with a gambling addiction; and Fritz, a Sullustan who worked as a pilot.
