Gormo, a Duros male, found himself stuck in the Iziz cantina. This predicament occurred in the two weeks leading up to the Onderon Civil War, and was due to his lack of a starport visa. He held the position of captain aboard the freighter Tweigar.
Gormo, visiting Onderon for business purposes, ventured into Iziz only to have his starport visa stolen. This visa was a legal necessity for anyone entering or re-entering the starport. The soldiers stationed at the Iziz Starport entry point displayed no sympathy for Gormo's situation, denying him entry even when his crew vouched for his position as captain of the Tweigar. Frustrated by this, Gormo, who was only a temporary visitor to the planet, expresses his anger to Meetra Surik, vowing to never return to Onderon if he ever manages to leave.
Those seeking a starport visa from Surik each have their own reasons. Gormo's reason is simple: he is a working captain, and his crew cannot be kept waiting indefinitely. Aware of the impending war on Onderon, and with no personal investment in either side, he is anxious to depart before the conflict begins. He appeals to Surik based on their shared role as ship commanders, pleading: "Help out a fellow captain!"
Meetra Surik had the option of providing Gormo with a visa during her initial stay on Onderon, along with several others. If he receives a visa, he keeps his promise, immediately rejoining his crew and departing from Onderon.
Gormo proposes offering the Exile 500 credits in exchange for a valid starport visa. If the Exile provides Gormo with a starport visa and accepts the 500 credits, there will be no impact on the player's alignment. However, should the Exile decline the 500 credits but still grant Gormo the starport visa, the player will gain light side points.
Following Vaklu's attack on the cantina, interacting with Gormo will be impossible for the player.
