Gana Lant

Gana Lant functioned as a stormtrooper, serving under the command of General Brenn Tantor for the duration of the Galactic Civil War. Lant displayed extreme loyalty to Tantor, and eventually joined the Rebel Alliance together with Tantor and nine additional stormtroopers.

Biography

As a veteran, Gana Lant participated in a minimum of six battles under Brenn Tantor's leadership. He consistently believed he would die in each engagement, only to be saved by Tantor's strategic genius. Following the Massacre on Abridon, Tantor was incarcerated on Kalaan after he disobeyed an order to execute civilians. This development shocked Lant, and both he and Tantor became devoted to the Rebel cause. Lant persuaded nine fellow stormtroopers who had served under Tantor to liberate the man who had led them through numerous battles under the Galactic Empire, which had subsequently betrayed him.

In what proved to be a major misjudgment, Grand General Malcor Brashin assigned them the duty of guarding Tantor in his open-air cell. Lant freed Tantor and communicated the squad's continued allegiance. With Tantor now at liberty, the stormtroopers commandeered the TR-MB prototype and assaulted the prison, liberating Luke Skywalker. The group journeyed through Kalaan's canyons, gaining support from the Kalaanite resistance until they reached a Rebel base established by Tyr Taskeen. From that location, they were transported to Taskeen's fleet, where they were likely temporarily imprisoned alongside their general. Upon their release, they likely continued to serve the Rebellion as infantry under Tantor's command.
