The Fondor system encompassed the planet Fondor, the native world of the Fondorians, along with its moon Nallastia, Thanut, and the cognominal star. This star, being exceptionally bright, allowed for easy location of the system even without sensor assistance. Situated within the Freeworlds Territory of the Tapani sector, it held a strategic position.
The Fondor system served as the battleground for a battle during the Cold War that occurred between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. This conflict ultimately resulted in a triumph for the Republic forces.
