Findris was a Colonies world that served as the location for a Galactic Empire sector command and the headquarters of Colonial News Nets. The Justice Action Network, an anti-Imperial terrorist group, was established on Findris in 15 BBY. Not long after the Battle of Yavin, Pertaal Shenvehr, an employee of Colonial News Nets stationed on Findris, used coded messages within a Colonial News Nets advice column to provide information about the Imperial Military to Rebel Alliance operatives.
Situated in the Findris system within the Haldeen sector of the Colonies' region, Findris was a terrestrial planet.

Findris was a haven for various clandestine organizations opposing the Galactic Empire, with the Justice Action Network, a terrorist group originating on the planet in 15 BBY, being the most radical. Colonial News Nets mentioned Findris in relation to the Justice Action Network in news reports dated 36:5:23 and 36:10:5 of 1 ABY according to the Great Resynchronization dates.
Around the time immediately following the Battle of Yavin, Pertaal Shenvehr, a Human, held the position of assistant features editor at the Colonial News Nets offices. His friend, who was working at Findris's Imperial sector command, supplied Shenvehr with sensitive data regarding the Empire's military forces, which Shenvehr then transmitted to Rebel Alliance agents through concealed messages within the "Ask Argothil Anything" advice column of Colonial News Nets. In a datafile detailing various Rebel operatives, Alliance General Airen Cracken identified Findris as Shenvehr's current location during that period.
A sector command of the Galactic Empire was located on Findris, as were the offices of the Colonial News Nets publication.
Peter Schweighofer conceived Findris, which first appeared in Cracken's Rebel Operatives, a 1994 sourcebook by West End Games for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. The 2009 reference work The Essential Atlas situated the Findris system, and consequently Findris, within grid square M-9.
