Shu-Torun counter-bore waltz

When Darth Vader paid a visit to Shu-torun, the planet's inhabitants honored him with a performance of the waltz.

Known as the Shu-Torun counter-bore waltz, this dignified dance was a tradition among the human population residing on the planet of Shu-Torun. It featured couples gracefully rotating, arms extended, with the man alternating between facing away from and towards his partner. The women involved would adorn their fingertips with luminous spheres, creating radiant streaks as they revolved. The King of Shu-Torun encouraged his ore-dukes to participate in the formal ball within his palace's deep, subterranean chambers, which included this dance, as it served to maintain the nobility's allegiance to the royal family's authority.

During the year 0 ABY, the Sith Lord Darth Vader undertook a journey to Shu-Torun, acting as an emissary of Emperor Sheev Palpatine and representing the Galactic Empire's interests. Princess Trios, the king's daughter, initiated the dance as she and Vader entered the subterranean room, explaining its cultural significance to Vader after he questioned its necessity. The waltz was disrupted when Vader declined to dance with Bixene, Duke Rubix's daughter, and instead used the Force to twirl the duke in the air when he persisted. Subsequently, Vader was attacked by several of the king's guards, causing the guests to scatter and bringing the dance to an abrupt end.
