A R-65 heavy blaster. The R-65 heavy blaster served as a weapon for the Naboo Security Guards. This blaster fired a pair of energy projectiles that had the unique ability to ricochet off of hard surfaces. Unlike typical blaster fire, these energy bolts possessed armor-piercing capabilities.
Captain Quarsh Panaka carried a specialized R-65 as his sidearm. His particular R-65 was a double-bolt variant of the CR-2 heavy blaster pistol issued to standard guards.
