Pictured is a river of lava situated on the volcanic planet of Mustafar.
Lava, sometimes referred to as magma, represented a perilous liquid comprised of molten rock. Frequently spewing forth from volcanoes, lava possessed extremely high temperatures, reaching thousands of degrees; however, upon ceasing its flow, the substance underwent a cooling process, solidifying and ultimately giving rise to obsidian or dark-colored lava sand.
