K'avor

K'avor, a city on the distant planet Shiva IV, resided within the Outlands, quite a distance away from the capital of Illyriaqüm. This city, one of the sparse Human communities in that area of the planet, met its end in 3 ABY when the Imperial unleashed an anti-matter bomb. The explosion obliterated the city entirely, and a spreading Cherenkov effect resulted in the ruins emitting a radioactive blue glow. Despite the devastation, not every resident of K'avor died in the attack. Lobar Aybock, a native of K'avor, was seized by the Empire, who deemed him unsuitable for stormtrooper service and subsequently sold him to Zygerrian slavers. Following his liberation, Aybock rose to prominence as a shockboxer champion.

Behind the scenes

The initial depiction of K'avor occurred in Star Wars 53: The Last Gift from Alderaan, authored by Chris Claremont and published in 1981.
