Feeana Tala was a Mawan female. Following the eruption of a civil war on Mawan, she rose to prominence as a powerful crimelord.
During the civil war on the planet in 36 BBY, known to the inhabitants as the Great Purge, Feeana Tala found refuge in her concealed base within the intricate tunnel network beneath Naatan. It was there that she initiated the trade of goods and provision of services to the planet's population, with the subterranean dwellers of the capital forming the largest contingent of free Mawans. Tala and her associates also engaged in organized raids.
Following the conclusion of the civil war, Feeana, alongside Decca and Striker, emerged as one of the three leading crimelords of Mawan. While not as influential as the others, she maintained control over the majority of goods and services supplied to the populace residing beneath the capital and commanded a significant number of troopers and soldiers. Her intimate knowledge of the tunnels, rivaling that of the Resistance movement, stemmed from her provision of food to the tunnel workers, earning her substantial respect from the underground community.
In 25 BBY, Tala encountered Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Jedi Knight, and his Padawan, Anakin Skywalker. They successfully persuaded her to endorse peace on her native world. She consented to aid the Jedi in establishing a peaceful government, on the condition that she would be granted amnesty, relinquish her criminal activities, and secure a position within the Mawan government.
Consequently, Feeana assisted Jedi Master Yaddle in her endeavor to seize control of Naatan's power grid and reactivate the planet's surface energy supply. Subsequently, her forces assisted Yaddle in securing and patrolling the surface, safeguarding the Jedi Master against the opposition from Strider and Decca.
Although Striker eventually captured Skywalker, intending to kill him, Anakin was liberated by Yaddle and successfully escaped. Yaddle, however, was not so fortunate, and was killed by Striker during his attempt to detonate a biochemical bomb on the planet. Tala perceived her situation as precarious and hopeless, as she endeavored to shield her people from Striker. Nevertheless, Yaddle's sacrifice motivated Tala to remain on Mawan.
It was when the crimelords Decca and Striker combined their forces against the Jedi that Tala made the decision to realign her allegiances. She forged an alliance with Striker and betrayed the Jedi.
Feeana Tala had harbored hopes of fleeing the planet with "Striker" (who was in reality the enigmatic Granta Omega), but he ultimately betrayed her. Narrowly escaping death when Omega cast her from his transport as a diversion, Tala was rescued by the intervention of Anakin Skywalker.
