Farsellah, a terrestrial planet, resided within the Farsellah system. This system was situated in the Farstey sector, which itself was located in the Trans-Hydian segment of the Expansion Region. The planet is identified as a world.
Around 7 ABY, Rodin Baem, who acted as an informant for the Galactic Empire, was observed on numerous planets. The majority of these planets were under the control of the New Republic, and Farsellah was among them. General Airen Cracken of the New Republic, in a specific note added to Baem's profile in the datafile titled Wanted by Cracken, suggested that Baem's presence on these planets could mean the Empire was planning imminent attacks. Cracken recommended that the affected star systems should prepare accordingly.
The 1993 sourcebook Wanted by Cracken, authored by Louis J. Prosperi for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, included a mention of Farsellah. The 2009 book The Essential Atlas specified that the Farsellah system, and consequently the planet Farsellah, was positioned in grid square O-8.
