Chewbacca piloting the explorer craft The explorer craft was a type of spacefaring vehicle propelled by rockets, with the added ability to fly within a planet's atmosphere.
A craft of this type, much like the YT-XC model, was transported on the Millennium Falcon. On one occasion, Chewbacca piloted the Falcon's explorer craft in order to save his son, Lumpy, from the perilous lower forests found on Kashyyyk.
