Erg Krow, identified as male, held the esteemed rank of senior Jedi Master. He dedicated his service to both the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic during the tumultuous period of the Great Sith War.
During the era of the Old Sith Wars, Erg Krow functioned as a Jedi Master. As the Great Sith War broke out between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire, Krow found himself stationed at the Order's enclave located on the verdant planet of Mustafar.
Krow was present when the Sith launched their assault on the world. The Jedi utilized a crystal to amplify their powers, aiming to secure an advantage in the battle. Unexpectedly, the crystal underwent self-destruction, resulting in significant repercussions for the planet. The crystal's detonation triggered Mustafar's departure from its established orbit, transforming the planet from a lush, green environment to a landscape dominated by hot, molten lava. Erg Krow emerged as the sole survivor of this cataclysm, having shielded himself from the destructive blast using the Force. Despite successfully preserving his own life, he endured excruciating pain. He painstakingly transported the remnants of the crystal to a cave and employed his abilities to create a protective barrier around it, ensuring that no one could ever seize the crystal again. Having secured the crystal against future misuse, Krow succumbed to his injuries and died within the confines of the cave. His protective shield persisted for numerous centuries following his demise, but eventually weakened and dissipated, leaving the crystal unguarded.
Approximately four millennia after Krow's death, during the rule of the Galactic Empire, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and a spacer companion discovered the cave and embarked on an attempt to obliterate the crystal, which had reactivated. Inside the cave, the pair encountered Vartonis, a Dark Jedi, who engaged in a fierce lightsaber duel with the intention of claiming the crystal. When the spacer, aided by Kenobi, gained the upper hand over Vartonis, they swiftly destroyed the crystal.
