A Gloorag of the male persuasion, named Emthuul, resided on Byrsym during the period when the Galactic Empire was coming into existence. Emthuul was the proprietor and principal bartender of his establishment, Emthuul's. He generally avoided becoming entangled in personal conflicts, and was known for his impartiality in disagreements. Despite his neutrality, he understood the hardships the Empire imposed on certain individuals, and was prepared to offer refuge to those escaping its reach.
