Previously, Miskin held a position as a cargo handler for Naescorcom on Ipsus, however, he was dismissed from his duties due to carelessness. Specifically, he had confused two different deliveries: a band of Outer Rim pirates was mistakenly sent fabrics originating from Line One, and an orphanage on Coruscant received multiple boxes of thermal detonators coming from Line Two. Had he not been so likeable, Miskin might have faced capital punishment for this error.
Miskin preferred jobs that involved interacting with others, particularly those who were wealthy and powerful. He aspired to one day establish his own company—though he hadn't decided on a specific type—and he believed that by ingratiating himself with the resort's guests, his charisma and familiarity with Dorumaa might attract potential backers.
