The Ecclessis Figg Room was a gambling den situated within the sprawling Trest casino found in Cloud City. This settlement, floating high above the gas giant of Bespin, was home to the casino. The room's namesake was Ecclessis Figg, the founder of the aforementioned city. Inside, one could find a bar for refreshments, a table designed for card games, and an elevated gallery for spectators to watch the action. A door in the room opened onto a balcony, providing a sweeping view of the city below.
One year following the Battle of Yavin, Baron Administrator Dominic Raynor extended an invitation to Lando Calrissian, a professional gambler, to join him in the room for a game of sabacc. Lobot, the computer liaison for the city, accompanied Calrissian to the room, where they engaged in two games. In the initial game, the Baron Administrator emerged victorious, claiming the pot which included Calrissian's _Mu-class_ shuttle, named the Cobra. However, Lobot uncovered that the game had been manipulated by the dealer, who was in the employ of Barpotomous Drebble, a businessman and rival of Calrissian. The gambler was short of funds to continue playing, but Lobot provided him with a generous sum, a secret gift from the city's fifty thousand workers. In the subsequent game, Calrissian risked everything and ultimately won control of the entire city from Raynor. Following the game and the change in the city's leadership, Lobot confessed to the new Baron Administrator that he had rigged the second game to put the city in the hands of Lando Calrissian, a leader he deemed less corrupt.
The single appearance of the Ecclessis Figg Room occurs in the "Lady Luck" comic, penned by Rich Handley and Darko Macan. It was published within Star Wars Tales 3 by Dark Horse Comics in the year 2000.
