E'koth Tassjun was a Jedi Master of the male persuasion. He was a member of the Jedi Order during the decline of the Galactic Republic, specifically during its final years. Notably, he served as the instructor to Ephaan Kenzon, guiding him as a Padawan.
Possessing a natural connection to the Force, E'koth Tassjun received education from the Jedi Order to harness his abilities. This training eventually led to his promotion to the esteemed position of Jedi Master. He chose Ephaan Kenzon, a young Initiate, to be his Padawan. However, Master Tassjun found it challenging to manage his headstrong apprentice, leading to frequent disagreements during their missions. Padawan Kenzon held differing opinions from the Jedi High Council's on certain crucial political matters, often expressing his dissent openly.
Master Tassjun, along with the Council, engaged in numerous discussions with Padawan Kenzon in an attempt to resolve the issues, but their efforts proved futile. Kenzon's insubordination became too significant for the Council to ignore, prompting the Council of Reassignment to consider expelling him from the Order. The conflict between the Council's perspectives and Tassjun's Padawan reached its peak during a mission to the Zeemacht Cluster. Despite Tassjun's attempts to guide him, Padawan Kenzon remained unable to reconcile his beliefs with those of the High Council. Consequently, he made the decision to leave the Order of his own accord, renouncing his commitments and abandoning his mentor.
