Dunari, a Human male businessman, maintained a long-standing friendship with Tomaas Azzameen. This individual was the founder and proprietor of Dunari's Rest Casino during the time of the Galactic Civil War. Furthermore, he held the position of leader within a substantial trading organization situated in the Outer Rim Territories, specifically within the Mayagil sector.
In his younger years, Dunari engaged in smuggling activities and fostered a friendship with the Azzameen family. It's documented that Dunari and Tomaas frequently undertook Kessel Runs while being pursued by Imperials. He often mentioned their success was due to luck, compensating for their lack of skill. He possessed his own Muurian transport known as the Deadman's Hand.
Near the end of the war, in 3 ABY, the Galactic Empire decimated the primary supply hub for the Rebels on Gal Milnor. Consequently, the Rebel Alliance desperately needed resources and requested assistance from Dunari and his coalition, a request which he accepted.
Dunari arrived in his personal SoroSuub Personal Luxury Yacht 3000, named Raw Deal, to meet with the Rebel Alliance, who had dispatched a Muurian transport named Saloon. During this meeting, he brokered an agreement for his trading group to secretly provide supplies to the Rebels for their attack on the Second Death Star at Endor. However, he did not anticipate the Hurrim, under the leadership of Golov Nakhym, betraying them at the Nezni system by attacking innocent civilians. As a result, Dunari expelled the Hurrim from his coalition and offered bounties for their capture.
He also provided assistance to Ace Azzameen in the rescue of his brother, Emon Azzameen, who had been captured by Imperial forces and was being held at Quesna Base.
Soon after, Dunari's casino faced an Imperial assault, prompted by information provided by the Hurrim. However, the attack was thwarted, and Dunari successfully evacuated the guests, personnel, and Emon to safety.
Growing tired of the Hurrim's actions, the Alliance and Dunari's forces launched a comprehensive attack on the Hurrim's nearby asteroid base. This operation led to the rescue of Dunari's personnel, the destruction of the station, and the capture of the infamous Golov Nakhym.
With the Hurrim defeated and the local Imperial forces disorganized, Dunari's supply operation for the Alliance proceeded without hindrance. This played a crucial role in ensuring the Rebels had the necessary resources for their successful attack on the Empire's new Death Star.
Shortly before the battle, he also aided Emon, Ace, and Aeron in escaping an Imperial ambush at Kessel Station following the betrayal by their uncle, Antan.
