Du Hutta, a terrestrial world, existed within the Du Hutta system. This system resided in Hutt Space, which itself was a region of the Slice. The Ootmian Pabol hyperlane provided a route connecting it to both the Irith and Y'Toub systems.
This planet, Du Hutta, functioned as a colony for the Hutt species. Numerous private residences, owned by Hutts originating from their adopted homeworld of Nal Hutta, were located there. Furthermore, less notable members from various Hutt clans also possessed estates on the world. Following the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, the crime lord Jocoro Desilijic Tiure established a small criminal organization, operating from a base on Du Hutta. The Klatooinian bodyguard formerly known as Umpass-stay eventually became a loyal servant to the Hutt on this world.
The first mention of Du Hutta occurred in the article "Who's Who in the Max Rebo Band," penned by Rich Handley. This article appeared in issue number sixty-seventh issue of the Star Wars Insider magazine, released on March 28, 2003. Later, in 2009, The Essential Atlas, a reference book, identified its location as grid square S-11.
