The Dhoora was a YT-1300 light freighter. This vessel was owned and used by the Nami during the time of the Galactic Civil War.
In the year 3 ABY, the Nami, who were experiencing a resurgence in the Outer Rim Territories, had intentions to make war against the Galactic Empire. Ali Tarrak, their inspiring leader, spearheaded this effort. To achieve their objectives, the Nami allied with the Alliance to Restore the Republic, aiming to support their Rebel comrades by stealing and acquiring sensitive Imperial technologies. Their initial significant operation revolved around raiding a convoy of Imperial Assassin-class corvettes belonging to the Hashim group. These corvettes were transporting TIE/D Defender prototypes from an Imperial research facility in the Parmel system. Previously, this facility had been under the control of the treacherous Grand Admiral Demetrius Zaarin. Following the facility's destruction by Zaarin and the resulting vulnerability of the TIE Defender technology, the Nami seized the opportunity to exploit the Empire's weakened position.
During this raid, the Nami dispatched a strike force, with the Dhoora at its head, to seize at least one of the corvettes transporting the TIE Defender prototypes. As the Rebels created a diversion for the Imperial pilots guarding the convoy, including Tan Maarek Stele, the Dhoora swiftly moved into the area to capture Hashim 1. Its escort of T-wing interceptors engaged the Imperials further, adding to the confusion. Capitalizing on the chaotic circumstances, the Dhoora deployed its strike team, who quickly overwhelmed the crew of the disabled corvette and secured the ship. Subsequently, the Dhoora and its surviving escorts escaped the area with their captured vessel, with the goal of replicating and producing the TIE Defender for eventual sale to the Rebels and, ultimately, for use against the Empire.

Eventually, an Imperial task force, under the command of Grand Admiral Thrawn, discovered the facility where Tarrak was engaged in the mass production of the TIE Defender. Thrawn then deployed Maarek Stele to destroy the facility and eliminate all Nami forces present. During the ensuing battle, the Imperials decimated the majority of Tarrak's forces, compelling Tarrak herself to flee the facility aboard the Dhoora in a desperate attempt to avoid capture.
During her escape, Tarrak held the leading TIE Defender scientist hostage on the Dhoora; he had been sold to the Nami by Grand Admiral Zaarin. Tarrak threatened to kill the scientist if the Imperials did not halt their attack. However, Thrawn remained resolute and ordered Stele to disable the Dhoora in the hope of capturing Tarrak. Following a concentrated assault, Stele and his allies successfully disabled the Dhoora, leading to the vessel's capture by the Imperials, with both Tarrak and the scientist still on board. The Dhoora was then transported back to Thrawn's flagship, the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Grey Wolf, so that Tarrak could be presented to her new master, Emperor Palpatine, to offer her services to the Empire, which effectively resulted in the defeat of the Nami.
