Devon Four, a planet that existed within the sphere of influence of the Galactic Republic, experienced a period of conflict some years preceding the outbreak of the Clone Wars. The governing body of this planet, comprised of individuals belonging to a religious order, made the decision to withhold tax payments. Consequently, the Republic imposed a trade blockade on Devon Four, which extended to preventing the delivery of essential medical supplies during a widespread and devastating plague. This blockade was eventually breached by a group of smugglers organized by Sheeka Tull.
Devon Four held the position as the fourth planet within its own star system, a system that was situated in the Atrivis sector of the Outer Rim Territories. Its location placed it along the Relgim Run, nestled between the Fest system towards the galactic core, and the Generis system towards the outer rim.
During the final era of the Galactic Republic, Devon Four was populated and governed by members of a religious sect. Their refusal to remit taxes to the Republic led to a strict embargo, effectively halting all starship traffic to and from the planet. This situation was further complicated when a virulent plague emerged, threatening the entire population; the Republic remained firm, preventing the arrival of crucial medical treatments.
Among the inhabitants of Devon Four was a member of the Tull family. Her sister, Sheeka Tull, who resided on Ord Cestus, learned of the outbreak and orchestrated a smuggling operation to circumvent the Republic's blockade. This action saved her sister's life and the lives of the planet's inhabitants. Tull was apprehended and initially sentenced to a decade of forced labor on a penal colony, but this sentence was commuted in exchange for her assistance to Republic forces on Ord Cestus during the Clone Wars.
The planet Devon Four received a mention within the pages of The Cestus Deception, a novel published in 2004 and penned by the author Steven Barnes.
