The deadly laigrek, a type of laigrek subspecies, originated on the grassy world of Dantooine. While resembling their insect relatives, they had stronger armor capable of withstanding intense heat and could expel brief bursts of flame. These deadly laigreks inhabited the underground sections of Dantooine's hilly landscapes, but by 3951 BBY, some had moved to the lower levels of the destroyed Jedi Enclave.
