A technique known as the Darklighter spin originated with Biggs Darklighter not long after he became a member of the Alliance to Restore the Republic, and it was a spontaneous creation. He could take out several approaching enemies simultaneously by rotating his X-wing starfighter and discharging all four of its laser cannons.
