The Strike-class medium cruiser known as the Daring participated in the Battle of To-phalion Base. Furthermore, it belonged to the group of ships that showed up after the battle had already begun, and they were able to extract Grand Admiral Thrawn.
As soon as the Daring got to To-phalion Base with the rest of Thrawn's task force, Grand Admiral Demetrius Zaarin made his escape aboard the stolen CR90 corvette Vorknkx, which was being used to test the Vorknkx Project. Fortunately, Thrawn had outsmarted Zaarin by secretly placing a tracking device on the Vorknkx, which allowed Thrawn's fleet to follow Zaarin all the way to the Iast system. After the Immobilizer 418 cruiser Corvus was used to prevent Zaarin's escape, the Daring teamed up with another Strike-class cruiser, the Ebolo, to engage Zaarin's flagship, the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Glory. The Daring sustained considerable damage from both enemy transports and the Glory itself, but Maarek Stele successfully defended the ship. Ultimately, the Daring and Ebolo worked together to destroy the Glory, and it is believed that the Daring survived the engagement.
