The moon of Dac was the only natural satellite orbiting the planet Dac, which is also referred to as Mon Calamari.
When Admiral Daala invaded Dac, she strategically concealed the Manticore on the far side of the moon, intending to ambush the orbital shipyards. Gial Ackbar disrupted this scheme by deliberately piloting the partially built MC90 Star Cruiser, the Startide, directly into the moon. The resulting blast was said to have briefly eclipsed the planet from the sun.
