An entity, whose identity remains unspecified, held the distinction of being the inaugural Padawan under the tutelage of Daakman Barrek, a Jedi Knight. This individual dedicated their service to both the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order. Their master proved successful in guiding them through training to the rank of Knighthood, after which Barrek accepted another Padawan, named Sha'a Gi. The Knight met their end in 22 BBY during a battle that transpired on the planet of Geonosis. This event marked the commencement of the Clone Wars, a large conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. While training Gi, Barrek was deeply grieved upon learning of his first Padawan's demise on Geonosis, which subsequently drove him to devote himself entirely to the war.
