Coruscant of the Outer Rim

"Coruscant of the Outer Rim" was a designation applied to various city worlds scattered throughout the Outer Rim and other regions of the galaxy, signifying their capacity to emulate the widespread urban development and expansion seen on Coruscant, the galactic capital. Taris stands out as a prime example, having earned this distinction back in 4300 BBY. However, a shift in trade routes in 4156 BBY led to a two-century-long period of economic decline, ultimately culminating in its complete razing by a Sith fleet led by Darth Malak and Admiral Saul Karath during the Jedi Civil War in 3956 BBY. The heavily urbanized trade hub of Eriadu, situated in the heart of the Seswenna sector between the Rimma Trade Route and the Hydian Way, also had aspirations of attaining this prestigious title.

Furthermore, Muunilinst, along with its sister world Mygeeto, both located in the Outer Rim, had achieved economic parity with Coruscant. Several other urbanized planets across the galaxy also rivaled the galactic capital in terms of political influence, including Alsakan within the Core Worlds, the moon Nar Shaddaa and, to a lesser degree, its associated planet Nal Hutta in the Mid Rim, Empress Teta situated in the Deep Core, and Denon in the Inner Rim.
