Clat

Clat, also known by the moniker Clat the Shamer, was a mutant empath who served the Guild of Vindicators after the rise of the Galactic Empire. His empathic power enabled him to delve into an individual's history, exposing their most shameful acts, which he then weaponized to drive them to self-destruction through relentless torment. Clat's attempt to assassinate the Sith Lord Darth Vader using these abilities backfired, resulting in his own death.

Biography

The fiery demise of Clat the Shamer.

During the Galactic Civil War era, Clat "the Shamer," a male mutant empath, operated as a member of the Guild of Vindicators. By this point, Clat had perfected the dark art of using his empathic talents to pinpoint a foe's deepest regrets, inflicting psychological torture so severe that it often led to suicide. During the conflict, Lady Dhol of Cheelit hired Clat to assassinate the Sith Lord Darth Vader. Dhol lured Vader to Cheelit's Hive Palace, partly through a challenge involving the strategic game firepath. Clat exploited his empathic powers to effortlessly bypass Vader's stormtrooper guards and infiltrate the palace, leaving a trail of corpses behind. He interrupted their firepath match, only to discover that his abilities had no effect on the Sith Lord's psyche. Instead of succumbing to his inner demons, Vader simply triggered the firepath space Clat was standing on, incinerating him.

Personality and traits

Clat the Shamer, a proficient empath, possessed the singular ability to delve into a target's past using his empathic skills, identifying and forcing them to relive their most shameful moments against their will. This allowed Clat, who typically did not carry a weapon, to confront numerous armed adversaries—the potency of his ability was such that he could drive his enemies to take their own lives. Clat showed no mercy to his foes, but harbored particular hatred for Darth Vader, deeming his transgressions far greater than those of ordinary Imperial soldiers.
