Clan Vevut

Clan Vevut existed as a Mandalorian clan on the planet of Mandalore around the time of the Second Galactic Civil War. This war saw conflict between the Galactic Alliance and the Confederation. Following the death of his neighbors, the experienced Mandalorian soldier Novoc Vevut took in their young orphaned son, Ghes Orade, according to Mandalorian tradition. Orade was raised by Vevut, and they resided together in Vevut's home and workshop located in Keldabe, the capital city of Mandalore. In the year 40 ABY, Orade encountered Mirta Gev, who was the granddaughter of the current Mand'alor, Boba Fett, and they entered into a relationship that resulted in their marriage. This wedding brought Gev into Clan Vevut, and the celebration that followed their private wedding took place at the clan's home in Keldabe.

History

Novoc Vevut, a Mandalorian soldier, lived in Keldabe, the capital city on the planet of Mandalore. He owned a home that also functioned as a workshop where he constructed and repaired weapons. At some point in time, Vevut's neighbors died, leaving their young son, Ghes Orade, as an orphan. Vevut had known the boy throughout his life, and after his parents passed away, he decided to adopt Orade following Mandalorian tradition. Initially, the start of their relationship was difficult, as they both struggled to accept each other in their new roles. However, over time, Vevut and Orade grew closer. Vevut instructed and trained Orade, guiding him through his verd'goten, a traditional Mandalorian rite of passage signifying the achievement of legal adulthood.

Ghes Orade and Mirta Gev

In 40 ABY, Mand'alor Boba Fett, the leader of the Mandalorian clans, summoned both Novoc Vevut and his son, Ghes Orade, to the planet Drall, which is located in the Corellian system of the Core's territories. They convened at Zerria's Bar, a local cantina, to discuss an offer from Thrackan Sal-Solo, the President of Corellia. Sal-Solo wanted Mandalorian assistance in defending Centerpoint Station against potential attacks from the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances. Vevut and Orade were not enthusiastic about Sal-Solo's proposal. Consequently, they left the negotiation to play a game of Cheg with a female bounty hunter who was later revealed to be Fett's estranged granddaughter, Mirta Gev. Following their first encounter at the cantina on Drall, Orade and Gev began a romantic relationship. After the death of her mother, Ailyn Vel, Gev needed a place to live and moved in with the Vevut clan at their home in Keldabe. As their relationship grew, Gev began to wear the traditional golden sigils of Clan Vevut on her Mandalorian armor.

When the Mandalorians were hired by Imperial Admiral Natasi Daala, Vevut, Orade, and Gev participated in the Second Battle of Fondor against the forces of Sith Lord Darth Caedus. During the battle, Orade piloted one of Mandalore's new Tra'kad-class transports, while Gev and Vevut boarded the Turbulent-class Star Destroyer called the Bloodfin. Gev inflicted a serious wound on Caedus' Sith apprentice, Tahiri Veila, by stabbing her in the leg, which impressed Vevut with her fighting prowess. After the battle and the victory against Darth Caedus, the Mandalorian commandos went back to Mandalore, where Gev and Orade were wed in a private marriage ceremony. Vevut then hosted a celebratory feast at their home in Keldabe, happy to welcome Gev into Clan Vevut.
