The Choora, a YT-1300 light freighter, served as the vessel of choice for the Nami faction throughout the duration of the Galactic Civil War.
Upon discovering the Rneekii Pirates' scheme to hold the chief scientist behind the TIE Defender project for ransom, the Crime Lord Ali Tarrak of the Nami, devised a plan to capture the scientist. Tarrak aimed to obtain one of the Defender prototypes held by the scientist, accelerating her own construction endeavors. She dispatched an assault team, including the Choora, accompanied by Y-wings and T-wings. This force arrived just as the Empire had triumphed over the Rneekii pirates, retrieving both the scientist and the ransom. While the strike force succeeded in neutralizing the Interdictor Red Claw, they were ultimately defeated by Tan Maarek Stele. The Choora suffered disabling damage and was seized. Although Tarrak herself was not present, the crew divulged certain details about her.
