The shuttle called the Chevalier, a New Republic vessel, was piloted by Captain Krull. Krull dispatched the Chevalier to investigate and board the Vermillion after a standoff in the vicinity of Substation Grimdock. After a conflict on the Vermillion, Senator Leia Organa instructed Captain Krull to provide the shuttle to Taka Jamoreesa, Han Solo, and Lando Calrissian for the continuation of their mission to locate the gangster Fyzen Gor.
