Cade was a member of the Galactic Empire's forces as a stormtrooper who was a clone. He was stationed on Vice Admiral Edmon Rampart's Venator-class Star Destroyer during the attack that targeted Kamino, specifically the bombardment of Tipoca City. His life was later ended via assassination when he started to take steps to reveal Rampart's attempts to conceal the truth about the attack.
A clone trooper known as Cade served the Galactic Empire while stationed on the planet of Kamino during 19 BBY. Cade was present on Rampart's Venator-class Star Destroyer VZ-114 when Vice Admiral Edmon Rampart gave the order to destroy Tipoca City, and the ship participated in the aerial bombardment that resulted in the city's destruction. Subsequently, Cade participated in the cover-up orchestrated by Rampart to mislead the Imperial Senate into believing that a storm caused the devastation. Rampart then tried to get the Imperial Defense Recruitment Bill passed, which would have phased out the clone troopers born on Kamino following the destruction of the cloning facilities.
Some months later, Cade was at 79's, a cantina on Coruscant popular with clone troopers, drinking with Slip, a fellow clone who had also been present during the Attack on Kamino. Cade stated that he intended to reveal the true nature of the operation. Slip was hesitant, believing they were just following orders, but Cade insisted that their actions were wrong and needed to be corrected.
After Cade left the bar, Slip followed, warning him about Rampart's unpredictable and cruel behavior towards clones. Subsequently, Clone X, a clone assassin dispatched by Rampart, killed Cade, while Slip barely escaped on a speeder bike.
Although Cade's actions inspired Slip to seek the truth, Slip was also killed by Clone X. However, Slip managed to contact Rex, a former Clone Commander, who, with assistance from Clone Force 99, obtained evidence that was later used against Rampart in the Senate.
