Boz, a Lizling male, served as the comrade to the belligerent Herglic Ry-Kooda around 10 ABY. In that year, the duo discovered that Boba Fett, a bounty hunter, had killed Ry-Kooda's sibling, Bar-Kooda. Consequently, they embarked on a quest for retribution against Fett, as well as a trio of Hutts implicated in the slaying: Orko, Gorga, and Anachro. On the planet Skeebo, Boz and his allies cornered the Hutts and launched an assault on Orko's starship. However, their own ship was downed by the brigand-like Skavers of Skeebo, who had also abducted Anachro and were demanding ransom for the Hutt.
Boz and Ry-Kooda spotted Fett on the surface, who was endeavoring to free Anachro from the Skavers' grasp, and pursued him. Nevertheless, the bounty hunter triumphed over Boz's companion by collapsing the ceiling of a mine with his considerable strength, thus hindering Boz and the Herglic from achieving their vengeance. Despite this setback, Boz's companion survived, and together they avenged themselves upon Orko, executing him within his palace located in the Orkana sector of the Tatooine planet. Soon after, a showdown transpired involving Boz, Ry-Kooda, Fett, and the two surviving Hutts. This confrontation culminated in Fett's killing of Ry-Kooda, prompting Boz to vow future retribution against the bounty hunter.
Boz, a Lizling male, maintained a close bond with the combative Herglic named Ry-Kooda. While inside a bar on the planet Rutal IV during 10 ABY, Boz received information from former crew members of Bar-Kooda, a pirate and Ry-Kooda's brother, stating that Bar-Kooda had been slain. Boz located Ry-Kooda and escorted the Herglic to the bar so he could hear the specifics from the crew. Boz and his enraged friend then learned that the notorious bounty hunter, Boba Fett, was responsible. They also found out that Bar-Kooda's remains had been served during the celebration feast for the wedding of two Hutts: Gorga and Anachro, the latter being the daughter of Orko the Hutt. This revelation regarding his brother's demise ignited Ry-Kooda's fury, leading him to demolish the bar's support columns with his sword, causing the ceiling to collapse. Thankfully, no one was harmed, and Boz successfully convinced some crew members to join him and the Herglic on a mission to seek vengeance on Fett and the Hutts.
The group tracked the Hutts to the planet Skeebo using the shipping registry, and they pursued them there aboard Ry-Kooda's starship. Upon arriving on Skeebo, they encountered Orko's vessel and engaged it in aerial combat. Orko was on Skeebo because the Skavers, a criminal organization, had kidnapped his wife Anachro during their honeymoon. Ry-Kooda's starship chased Orko's, but the Skavers accidentally shot down Ry-Kooda's ship with a missile that was intended for Orko's vessel. After exiting the wreckage, Boz and his team were met with the sight of Fett, who was attempting to rescue Anachro, attacking the Skavers. The Lizling and the furious Herglic, along with their band of pirate crew, discovered a Skaver vehicle nearby with only a single surviving Skaver available to pilot it, which they then commandeered. The group pursued Fett and found him at the entrance of a mine shaft, which served as an entry point to the Skaver lair.

Fett, who was transporting the rescued Anachro in the back of a rail truck down the mine shaft, drove the vehicle into Ry-Kooda, knocking him into a support pillar and sending Anachro flying. She landed on the group of pirates and the lone Skaver driver, who had fled at their first chance to be rid of Ry-Kooda and Boz. A pitched battle soon ensued, with the Herglic battling the bounty hunter while Boz urged Ry-Kooda on the whole time. The fight ended with Fett bringing down the ceiling of the mine with a concussion grenade, which buried Ry-Kooda under some rubble, though Boz managed to escape the falling debris. However, as Boz ran away from the blast, a piece of shrapnel severed his tail.
After Fett departed with Anachro, Boz remained and was disheartened to see Ry-Kooda buried beneath the rubble and seemingly dead. Two of the pirate crew members who had survived the Hutt's fall approached Boz from behind, preparing to shoot him to get rid of him and escape from Ry-Kooda's leadership. Boz attempted to act tough to intimidate the pirates, though this failed, and the Lizling was only saved after the Herglic burst from the wreckage, very much alive. Due to their fear of Ry-Kooda, the pirates left Boz alone and were once again forced to work for him. Still on their path of revenge against Fett and the Hutts, the group traveled to Orkana, a heavily polluted territory on the planet Tatooine, where Orko had a palace. Ry-Kooda killed Orko after scaling the walls of the palace and ate some of the Hutt while Boz watched. The group also found Anachro, who left Gorga and came to Orkana when she heard of Orko's death.
Ry-Kooda tipped over her landspeeder with a projectile from a rocket launcher, and, while Boz and Ry-Kooda were preoccupied with the Hutt, Gorga and a small squad of soldiers arrived to help his wife. However, this did Anachro little good, and the Herglic would have eaten her had Fett not shown up and shot Ry-Kooda. The massive Herglic was uninjured by the blasts, and a final duel between Ry-Kooda and Fett commenced, with both sides using a variety of objects and tools varying from jetpacks to pieces of metal junk on the ground to gain the upper hand. Throughout the battle, Boz encouraged his friend and insulted Fett whenever he could. However, the bounty hunter proved victorious after he shot darts into the Herglic's eyes and fired upon him with his blaster, forcing Ry-Kooda into a pool of toxic waste. The deadly material incinerated Ry-Kooda, leaving Boz without a partner. Enraged, Boz charged Fett, vowing to kill him in revenge, but the bounty hunter kicked him away.
Boz developed a friendship with the volatile Ry-Kooda, effectively becoming his loyal assistant. Boz consistently spurred Ry-Kooda toward avenging himself as they pursued Boba Fett and the Hutts. Whenever Ry-Kooda flew into a rage simply upon hearing Fett's name, Boz redirected his companion's focus back to their objective. During both encounters with Fett, Boz actively participated in the fighting, hurling insults at Fett and bolstering the Herglic's resolve. When the two pirates confronted Boz after the mine shaft's collapse on Ry-Kooda, Boz believed he could defeat them both with his bare hands, despite their possession of blasters and larger size. Although Boz refrained from having Ry-Kooda execute the pair for attempting to shoot him, he didn't forget the incident and cautioned them against crossing him again. Following Fett's slaying of Ry-Kooda, Boz was consumed by fury and vowed to eventually exact revenge upon the bounty hunter.
Boz was initially introduced in Boba Fett: When the Fat Lady Swings and Boba Fett: Murder Most Foul, the concluding pair of issues within a comic book miniseries centered around Boba Fett. Both comic books were penned by John Wagner and issued by Dark Horse Comics. When the Fat Lady Swings was distributed in 1996, whereas Murder Most Foul was released in 1997. Boz was later granted an entry in The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia in 2008.
