The Bombing of Auyemesh, an event that transpired in 17 ABY, was orchestrated by Kueller, a Dark Jedi, who sought to showcase his might by bombing the moon of Auyemesh.
Following Luke Skywalker's journey to Pydyr, his T-65 X-wing starfighter was destroyed, resulting in injuries to him. Kueller employed his abilities to suppress the Force echoes of this event, preventing Leia Organa Solo, the New Republic Chief of State and sister of the Jedi Master, from fully comprehending the situation, only sensing something amiss. Subsequently, Kueller established contact with the New Republic on Coruscant using a holo-coded interstellar communication, demanding to speak with Leia.
Leia responded to the communication, whereupon Kueller asserted his responsibility for the preceding destruction that she had sensed. To substantiate his claim and demonstrate his capacity for widespread devastation, he orchestrated the bombing of Auyemesh using droids equipped with concealed detonators. He refrained from disclosing the location or method of the destruction to Leia, but she perceived the event through a disturbance in the Force, which, combined with Kueller's revelation regarding her brother's fate, drove her to the verge of despair.
The bombing resulted in at least one million fatalities and numerous speeder accidents on Auyemesh. These incidents were promptly reported to the New Republic, enabling the identification of Auyemesh as the bombing site.
