Bognog

The Bognog was a Strike-class medium cruiser utilized and possessed by the Nami throughout the duration of the Galactic Civil War. It is classified as a medium cruiser of the Strike-class.

History

The Nami resurfaced from their isolation in the Outer Rim Territories in 3 ABY, becoming a fresh ally to the Rebel Alliance. Their objective was to leverage their newly formed fleet to engage in warfare against the Galactic Empire. During this campaign, the Bognog launched an attack on an Imperial docking facility located in the Yrrna system. This assault involved their recently formed squadron of TIE/D Defenders, whose technology they had previously acquired through a raid on the Empire. The Nami's intention was to showcase the technological superiority of the starfighter to the Rebels, with the ultimate goal of selling the technology to the Alliance. Observers from the Rebel side, aboard the Carrack-class light cruiser named Jester, accompanied the Bognog during this operation.

Upon the attack, the base's docking personnel immediately evacuated using the Modular conveyor named Ulzepdi and transmitted a distress signal to allied forces. This prompted a swift response led by Tan Maarek Stele, who aimed to rescue the crew. In response, the Bognog deployed multiple squadrons of T-wings and Delta-class DX-9 stormtrooper transports with the mission to eliminate the Ulzepdi and its protective escorts before their escape. However, Stele and his wingman successfully diverted the fighter squadrons for a sufficient duration, enabling the Ulzepdi to escape into hyperspace. Despite this, the attack was considered a success, as the Bognog and its squadron of TIE Defenders proceeded to completely destroy the entire staging area, greatly impressing the hopeful Rebel buyers.
