Bey Gandan

During his training, Bey Gandan found himself alongside Yabeley and Klin-Fa Gi. He developed a romantic infatuation with Klin-Fa Gi, a sentiment shared by Yabeley. Consumed by intense jealousy towards Yabeley, Gandan ultimately succumbed to the allure of the dark side. The trio embarked on a mission to Wayland to investigate the presence of the Yuuzhan Vong on that planet. However, they were captured by the Yuuzhan Vong, who subjected Yabeley to torture during an interrogation that resulted in his death. Gandan and Gi were subsequently enslaved aboard a worldship belonging to the Shapers'. From this vessel, they managed to escape, carrying with them a qahsa containing vital information about a Shaper project aimed at exterminating the Jedi.

Gandan was later apprehended once more by the Yuuzhan Vong, but Gi managed to evade capture on Bonadan with the assistance of Uldir Lochett. Lochett aided Gi in her return to Wayland to retrieve the key necessary to unlock the qahsa. Subsequently, he played a crucial role in rescuing Gandan. However, Gandan had been corrupted by the Yuuzhan Vong and was now acting as a carrier for a Shaper-created virus. This virus was designed to infect the alazhi trees of Thyferra, ensuring that any bacta produced from the infected plants would prove fatal to those who used it. Through a Shaper's villip implanted within his skull, Gandan received directives from the Shapers Tsaa Qalu and Viith Yalu. Harboring his own plan to eliminate the Yuuzhan Vong after delivering the virus, Gandan deceived Lochett and Gi into transporting him to Thyferra aboard the No Luck Required. Upon arriving on Thyferra, his treachery was uncovered. Following a lightsaber duel with Klin-Fa, Lochett intervened by throwing Gi's lightsaber, which she had lost during the confrontation, severing Gandan from his shoulder to his hip.
