Bay squids were a type of aquatic species inhabiting the Ugyir River in Coronet City, which was located on the planet Corellia. These creatures were known for their behavior of repeatedly submerging and emerging from the river's transparent waters. However, with the Galactic Empire's presence and subsequent building of Star Destroyers along the riverbanks, the resulting pollution contaminated the water, ultimately causing the bay squids to become extinct.
