Batuu Jedi temple meditation chamber

A meditation chamber was situated within the Batuu Jedi temple. Around the time of 379 BBY, Jedi Padawan Rooper Nitani engaged in meditation inside the chamber because she was unable to dismiss a premonitory feeling. Immediately after Nitani's focus broke, her Master, Silandra Sho, came into the chamber and informed Nitani that the time had arrived for her to undergo her Jedi Trials. Nitani went back to the chamber after she had completed her trials to have a conversation with Sho.

Description

The Jedi Order's Batuu Jedi temple contained a meditation chamber. Inside the room, there was a mat placed on the floor for Jedi to sit upon while they were meditating. A doorway in the chamber provided access to a corridor.

History

The Batuu Jedi temple housed the meditation chamber.

Approximately around 379 BBY, Padawan Rooper Nitani, a Jedi, entered the chamber to meditate, as she couldn't shake off a sense of anticipation. While she was meditating, she used the Force to reach out, and she perceived the life surrounding her as glowing colors. She also sensed other Jedi within the temple, including Petrish Imglor, Evat Seth, and her Master, Silandra Sho. Extending her reach further, she sensed a group of skylar-birds, a collection of horned stoans, as well as the forests that encompassed the temple, before she then lost her concentration.

Just as Nitani was considering seeking advice from her Master, Sho, accompanied by the church droid P3-7A, walked into the room. Sho explained that the anticipation Nitani was feeling was her own. When Nitani inquired about this, Sho revealed that it was time for Nitani to undertake her Jedi Trials to become a Jedi Knight. Sho mentioned that she had concealed her shield, which Nitani needed to locate. Sho also instructed her to bring P3-7A with her, even though the droid had no knowledge of the shield's location. Nitani then departed the room with P3-7A to start her search.

After Nitani discovered the shield, she made her way back to the meditation chamber, where Sho was waiting for her. Nitani shared the events that had transpired during her trials, and they both decided to discuss the matter with the Jedi Council on the following day. As Sho prepared to leave the room, Nitani attempted to give the shield back to her, but Sho instructed her to keep it and explained that she wished to honor the tradition of passing down the shield from Master to Padawan.
