The Turak IV Campaign, also referred to as the Battle of Turak IV, marked the most significant loss that the Imperial Hammers Elite Armor Unit (Hell's Hammers) experienced at the hands of the Rebel Alliance throughout the duration of the Galactic Civil War.
As the 112th laid siege to Turak IV, their supply routes were severed by a Rebel ambush squad identified as the Hitak Harriers. While the Harriers successfully destroyed nearly all of the Hammers' repulsortanks, they themselves sustained substantial losses in personnel and equipment. The majority of Imperial sympathizers would eventually view the Turak IV campaign as a victory, owing to the extensive damage inflicted upon the Alliance. Although the 112th suffered severe losses against Alliance forces, the Empire reevaluated their status, providing them with renewed financial support and resources, which included the novel Imperial Repulsortank 1-H.
A smaller conflict unfolded within the larger battle, as recovery teams from both factions fought to secure the damaged, yet still functional, repulsortank Hammer 4:3.
