Battle of Skor II

The Skor II conflict transpired during the age of the Clone Wars, specifically in the year 21 BBY.

Background

The Confederacy of Independent Systems had seized control of the Metrobig Interplanetary Blastport on Skor II. Their strategy involved using this planet, which is the original homeworld of the Squibs, as a strategic location for deploying proximity mines along the extensive Rimma Trade Route. The Galactic Republic responded by deploying a group of clone troopers. Leading this force were High Jedi General Mace Windu along with Marshal Commander CC-2224, with orders to reclaim the planet.

Combat Narrative

Under the leadership of Windu and CC-2224, the clone troopers successfully wrested Skor II from the occupying battle droids of the Separatist Droid Army. This action resulted in the liberation of Metrobig City.

Subsequent Events

King Ebareebaveebeedee dedicates a statue to Windu.

After the battle, Windu departed Skor II, but a contingent of clone troopers remained to maintain peace and monitor Separatist activities. King Ebareebaveebeedee of the Squibs honored Windu by commissioning a bronzium statue in Metrobig City. He publicly declared Windu a "Big Time Hero of Beyond-Squib Eliteness."

Production Notes

While Republic HoloNet News Core Edition 14:9:01 suggested the Skor II engagement occurred during 21 BBY, The Official Starships & Vehicles Collection 32—which also incorporated Commander CC-2224's role in the conflict, initially hinted at in the novel Labyrinth of Evil—placed the battle before the Battle of Christophsis. The Essential Reader's Companion indicates the Battle of Christophsis happened within approximately seven weeks of the Clone Wars' commencement.
