The engagement known as the battle of Dennaskar unfolded on the sparsely populated planet of Dennaskar. This conflict occurred during the Galactic Civil War and involved combatants from the Rebel faction against the combined forces of the Imperial military and Santhe Security.
The Rebel Alliance received intelligence indicating that Imperial scientists on Dennaskar had made technological advancements while attempting to create an effective cloaking shield. Within a clandestine laboratory on Dennaskar, researchers successfully enhanced a flux refractor, producing a single prototype slated for off-world evaluation by the Empire. The Imperial Navy was to receive the device at a designated rendezvous point, transported there by a convoy from the base.
Learning of this endeavor, the Rebels resolved to seize the flux refractor. Commander Pash Deven deployed an assault team tasked with ambushing the convoy. Their mission was to either commandeer the device or destroy it before it could reach its destination.
Regrettably for the Rebels, the Imperials had become aware of their intentions. Consequently, they removed the flux refractor from the speeder truck that was originally intended to carry it. In its place, a team of stormtroopers was positioned within the vehicle, with the aim of ambushing the Rebel forces.
Besides the stormtrooper squad, Imperial strength included two squads of local Santhe Security personnel. A repeating blaster was affixed to the top of the speeder truck. The Rebel contingent comprised two to three squads of Rebel operatives, potentially supported by some vehicles.
Concealed within Dennaskar's forests, the Rebels identified an ideal moment to strike as the convoy proceeded along a road flanked by woodland. Launching their assault from both sides of the road, the Rebels successfully trapped the convoy. As the Rebels fought the Santhe Security troopers, the stormtroopers emerged from the truck, catching the Rebels off guard.
