A conflict unfolded in the Cha Raaba system in 3639 BBY amidst the Galactic War. This battle saw the Galactic Republic clash with the forces of the reconstituted Sith Empire. The Mandalorian military leader Varek Tarn had absconded with the design schematics for the Sovereign Forge, an Imperial project for a mining installation and space dock. He sought to exchange them with the Republic within a minefield located in the Cha Raaba system. Yet, the Empire intercepted Tarn, resulting in the destruction of the shuttle transporting the blueprints.
