Ayla Shar served as a lieutenant within Alliance Intelligence for the Rebel forces, and prior to that, she was a miner.
Originating from Korbin as a Human, she initially toiled as a miner before transitioning into the role of resource coordinator at Vulca Minerals. While employed there, she was stationed on Guiteica. As Vulca Minerals became increasingly forceful in their pursuit of Yttrium extraction, particularly concerning the indigenous m'Yalfor'ac Order, Shar developed a deep understanding of both the Bitthævrian natives and the Order. Ultimately, Vulca Minerals was compelled to withdraw from Guiteica, with Kadok Resources, controlled by the Bitthævrians, taking its place.
Subsequently, Shar enlisted with the Rebel Alliance, attaining the rank of lieutenant. Her familiarity with industrial sabotage groups proved invaluable, aiding in the capture of Imperial ore transport vehicles. She functioned as a resource officer across various Rebel outposts situated in regions heavily dominated by the Empire.
In 2 ABY, Shar authored a report for the Task Force on Alliance Security pertaining to the m'Yalfor'ac Order and its commanding officer, Colonel Quaal Tavier Catharius. In it, she emphasized the Order's animosity towards the Rebel Alliance, asserting that diplomatic solutions were unfeasible.
