The Askaj system, a star system situated in the Cegul sector of the Outer Rim region of the galaxy, was traversed by the Rimma Trade Route. Askaj, a planet, was situated at a distance within this system. The Askajians, a species native to Askaj, revered Moon Lady, the planet's singular moon, as a god. Askaj itself was the primary planetary body in the system. Grand Moff Wilkadon governed the system, and his tyrannical rule prompted numerous residents to seek refuge on Tatooine. Following the Battle of Endor, the New Republic eventually liberated the planet.
