The Ashanda Ray, a unique starship and freighter of Mon Calamari design, served as the personal vessel of Kinnin Vo-Shay, the gambler. This vessel was a MC-18 light freighter. Reflecting its Mon Calamari origins, the Ashanda Ray exhibited a distinctly aquatic aesthetic, characterized by its curved and bumpy hull. Hidden within a ventral "pod" of the Ray was a potent heavy triple-barreled laser cannon. Furthermore, it incorporated a trademark feature of Mon Calamari engineering: multiple, backup deflector shield systems. These layered shields provided enhanced defense and quicker regeneration, surprising adversaries who assumed the shields were depleted. Along the front of the Ray, three pods concealed a trio of proton torpedo launchers.
